Automatic Brinell Hardness Tester is a sophisticated tester designed for testing the hardness of ferrous and on-ferrous metals, annealed steel, tempered, and quenched steel, and various others. It features a 4.5-inch touchscreen for displaying the results. The digital system features a single-chip control system meant for seamless integration of human-computer interface and automation. The tester has been designed to deter hardness by forcing a carbide ball of known diameter or hardened steel under a predetermined load into a surface. It subsequently, measures the diameter of the indentation using the microscope. The hardness value of the material is displayed on the screen once the testing is complete. It has a digital eyepiece with a built-in encoder that sets the indentation length.
